Kurt Cobain eta Krist Novoselic , Dale Croverrekin banda bat sortu zutenean izan zen. 1985 eta 1986. urteetan tabernetan kontzertuak ematen zituzten eta urte horretan 1986. urtean beren lehenengo maketa grabatu zuten. 1993. urtean azkeneko diska egin zuten eta merkatura urte bat beranduago kaleratu zen. Justu Kurt Covain hil egin zenean. Bere heriotza eta gero Kurt Covainen bandakoak beste diska bat atera zuten Nirvanaren abesti esanguratsuenekin.
